Il existe des <strong class=\"d2b\">fibres optiques sp\u00e9ciales<\/strong> <strong>r\u00e9sistantes radiations<\/strong> et d&rsquo;autres <strong>r\u00e9sistantes solarisation<\/strong>. En effet, une fibre optique est intrins\u00e8quement <span class=\"fort\">insensible<\/span> aux interf\u00e9rences \u00e9lectro-magn\u00e9tiques (<span class=\"fort\">EMI<\/span>), et, bien <span class=\"fort\">prot\u00e9g\u00e9e<\/span> contre les <span class=\"fort\">radiations<\/span>, elle peut \u00eatre ais\u00e9ment utilis\u00e9e dans des <strong class=\"d2b\">centrales nucl\u00e9aires<\/strong> ou des installations m\u00e9dicales comme des <strong class=\"d2b\">IRM<\/strong> et des <strong class=\"d2b\">scanners<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u00a0\u00bb1\/2&Prime;][vc_column_text el_class=\u00a0\u00bbpetit-titre petit-titre-txt\u00a0\u00bb]La probl\u00e9matique[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Expos\u00e9e aux radiations, la fibre peut \u00eatre d\u00e9grad\u00e9e entrainant une augmentation de l&rsquo;<span class=\"fort\">att\u00e9nuation optique<\/span> (diminution de l\u2019intensit\u00e9 du signal optique le long de la fibre), une <span class=\"fort\">r\u00e9duction<\/span> de la <span class=\"fort\">puissance optique<\/span> \u00e0 la sortie de la fibre, ou des effets sur la <span class=\"fort\">bande passante<\/span> (modification des caract\u00e9ristiques optiques de la fibre entrainant des changements dans les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s spectrales des signaux optiques). Les radiations ont aussi un effet sur l\u2019assemblage \u00e0 base de fibres optiques, notamment <span class=\"fort\">d\u00e9grader<\/span> les composants (connecteurs, isolateurs, modulateurs, etc.) ou encore <span class=\"fort\">endommager<\/span> le rev\u00eatement.
