VacuumHermetic feedthrough range
SEDI-ATI by Fiber Optics Group expands its range of hermetic feedthroughs with an offer dedicated to vacuum and ultra-high vacuum applications.

Building on its expertise and extensive experience in extreme environments, SEDI-ATI is expanding its range of screw-in hermetic feedthroughs by launching two new models specifically designed for vacuum and ultra-high vacuum applications, and compatible with cryogenic environments: the KTRAV-M8V and KTRAV-M12V. Through these innovations, SEDI-ATI continues to push boundaries to meet its customers’ technological challenges.
Intended for integration into equipment such as quantum computers, cryostats, particle accelerators, or even industrial or space instrumentation systems, these new optical feedthroughs meet the demanding requirements of vacuum chambers where compactness, performance, robustness, and a high level of hermeticity are key criteria.
The KTRAV-M8V and KTRAV-M12V are compact single-channel hermetic feedthroughs with an M8 or M12 thread. Unlike other models in the range, they are exclusively designed for vacuum and ultra-high vacuum applications, achieving leak rates in the order of 10-8 to 10-9 mbar.l/s. The final “V” in their names, in fact, stands to “Vacuum”.
The KTRAV-M8V, the most compact threaded feedthrough offered by SEDI-ATI (length: 43.2 mm), is made entirely of stainless steel (both body and ferrule), guaranteeing both robustness and zero outgassing. It is available in SMA/SMA version.
The KTRAV-M12V is a variation of SEDI-ATI ‘s iconic KTRAV-M12 hermetic feedthrough (designed for both vacuum and pressure applications up to 1000 bars). Smaller and more compact (67 mm versus 98 mm for the KTRAV-M12), the KTRAV-M12V is available in FC/PC and FC/APC versions. It is also suitable for cryogenic environments where resistance to extremely low temperatures (down to 1.5 K) is an essential criterion.
