WDMTechnology
Manufacture of wavelength multiplexers for space applications
SEDI-ATI’s multimode multiplexers are manufactured using a patented process based on the deposition of a dichroic filter directly on the optical fiber. The hardened multiplexer has been specially designed to meet the constraints of the space environment (vibrations and mechanical shocks).

SEDI-ATI’s multimode wavelength division multiplexers are manufactured using a proprietary process based on a dichroïc filter directly deposited onto the optical fiber.
This unique manufacturing method ensures a robust construction allowing a bi-directionnal or dual transmission on a single multimode fiber.
This spatial version is specially designed to handle the constraints of this extreme environment, such as vibrations and shocks. The multiplexer is also smaller than the others of the range, due to space restrictions. The CP-MXS series is made with either GI 50 μm or GI 62.5 μm fibers and is optimized for 850 nm and 1300 nm.
We also propose a step-index low-OH launch fiber 105/125 μm dedicated to opto-pyrotechnics applications with specific wavelengths.
The dichroïc filter can be customized upon request for a variety of applications.
Our multimode WDM spatial version can be terminated with any connector type or optical contact, depending on the environment and the constraints.
The multimode WDM spatial version only exists in a purple metallic ruggedized package.
