Fiber-opticProbes
Disposable fiber-optic needle probes
SEDI-ATI has acquired a very specific know-how in the integration of an optical fiber into a metallic needle. Fiber optic needles are suitable for diagnostic, dentistry and dermatology applications.

KeyFeatures
- Silica/silica fibers 400 µm or 600 µm
- Silica capillary
- SMA connector
Options on request:
- Integration of customer’s handpiece
- Integration of customer’s RFID chip/dongle
- Sold sterilized (ethylene oxide)
FIBERS
Our fibers are USP Class VI certified, non-toxic and biocompatible. The core diameter of the fibers used in standard products is between 200 µm and 600 µm.
DISTAL END
The end of the fiber is inserted into a hypodermic needle which can be flat or polished to a specific angle depending on the application. A pyramidal tip is also available. Special treatment of the needle ensures excellent penetration into the tissue, just like a syringe needle.
CONNECTOR
The probe is fitted with proprietary OneShot SMA ou PowerShot SMA connectors manufactured by par SEDI-ATI. These connectors are spécialy designed for the high-cost disposable probes. The assembly technique avoids any stress on the fiber itself.
MANUFACTURING
Biocompatibles materials.
Packed, stored and used in a clean environment.
ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 certified production workshop.
Sold sterilized in a double bag.
